VSB to Evaluate Candidates for Virginia Court of Appeals Vacancies
The Virginia State Bar has been asked by Senator Scott A. Surovell, chair of the Senate of Virginia Courts of Justice Committee, and Delegate Patrick A. Hope, chair of the House Courts of Justice Committee, to evaluate candidates for four vacancies on the Court of Appeals of Virginia due to legislation passed this session to expand the court.
If you would like to be evaluated by the VSB, you must submit a résumé, a brief writing sample, and responses to a questionnaire by July 31, 2026. Submissions should be sent by email as a Word document. The writing sample may be submitted in either pdf or word format. Please submit your application materials by email to [email protected]. Interviews will be conducted by the individual committee members.
