FINCEN Real Estate Reporting Rule Notice
Currently, the FinCEN website (https://www.fincen.gov/rre) contains the following guidance: “In light of a federal court decision, reporting persons are not currently required to file real estate reports with FinCEN and are not subject to liability if they fail to do so while the order remains in force.” The situation is still evolving – FinCEN could require resumption of reporting obligations at any point. Additional information will be posted when available.
