Supreme Court of Virginia Amends Rules 1:15, 1A:9 and Approves the VSB's Proposal for LEO 1901
On November 24, 2025, the Supreme Court of Virginia amended the following Rules of Court: 1:15 – Local Rules of Court; and 1A:9 – Virginia Legal Aid Counsel. A proposal by the VSB was approved as LEO 1901 – Reasonable Fees and the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence. Rule 1:15 and LEO 1901 are effective immediately, while Rule 1A:9 goes into effect on January 23, 2026. Click here for details.
