Lunch & Learn: Virginia’s New Clean Slate Law—Essential Training for Legal Professionals

After a brief overview of the new criminal record sealing laws that are set to take effect in Virginia on July 1, 2026 (Va. Code § 19.2-392.5 et seq.), this one-hour MCLE webinar will teach attendees what documents and steps are necessary to file for both expungement and sealing, how the new laws will impact those processes, and how to determine eligibility for sealing and expungement. This course will also cover practical tips and expected areas of litigation, as well as when sealed records can be accessed.
