Welcome to the Diversity Section

diversity conference logoThe Diversity Section was established in 2010 to bring together VSB members interested in increasing outreach and engagement by fostering and encouraging full and equal participation in Virginia’s legal profession where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect and in ensuring that Virginia meets the legal needs of an ever-changing population. The Diversity Section’s mission is to foster and encourage interest in admission to and advancement in the legal profession in Virginia, to serve as a catalyst for creating professional leadership and VSB service opportunities, and to work to ensure that the legal system is responsive to the changing legal needs of the people of Virginia.

Our Goals

  • Increase interest in Virginia’s legal profession.
  • Foster and encourage full and equal participation by members of varying perspectives and experiences in the legal profession.
  • Maintain the quality of legal services in Virginia.
