Corporate Counsel Award
The Corporate Counsel Award is an initiative created by the Corporate Counsel Section in 2020. A recipient will be selected from a pool of applicants who are graduating law school students who intend to work as an in-house corporate counsel and to sit for the Virginia Bar Exam. The award will cover exam expenses and the first year’s VSB membership dues. This committee will be responsible for marketing the opportunity within the law schools and reviewing applications to select a recipient.

Section Member of the Year Award
The Section Member of the Year is a new initiative created by the Corporate Counsel Section in 2025. A recipient will be nominated by his or her peers and selected on the basis of contributions to the section. We seek strong section members who improve the practice of law in Virginia through education, networking, mentoring, and other engagement.
