Military Law and Veterans Pro Bono Award

Our service members and veterans who willingly offer and offered to sacrifice their all in the support and protection of our Nation are in need of legal assistance to help defend their interests at home. Many of our Bar members have stepped up to meet this challenge and as a part of their practice make service members and veterans a priority. The Military Law Section seeks to identify and recognize those members of the Bar who diligently protect those who protect and served to protect our Nation.

The Military Law Section requests your assistance in identifying worthy individuals who have dedicated a significant portion of their time and energy to serving and protecting those who protect and serve us through a Pro Bono practice. Up to two awards will be issued each year. Nominations may come from anyone who has personal knowledge of the nominees activities in support of veterans and service members. The deadline to submit a nomination for the 2024-2025 year is Monday, April 14, 2025. The award will be presented at the Access to Legal Services Pro Bono Awards Luncheon at the VSB Annual Meeting.
