2026 Virginia Energy Legislative Update

Wednesday, June 17, 2026

12-1 PM

The VSB Administrative Law Section invites you to join a timely discussion covering legislative changes to energy policy in Virginia. Dozens of bills were proposed in the 2026 legislative session on a range of areas affecting utilities, including topics such as affordability, data center regulation, and integrated resource planning.

Josephus Allmond, Chief Energy Officer of Virginia, will present a summation of these bills that are ultimately passed by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor. This lecture will highlight how the changing laws will affect utility regulation.

Please join us on Wednesday, June 17 from 12-1 pm for this 1.00 CLE credit (approved) exploring the rapidly evolving legislative landscape.
